How do I download the AI model?
The model downloads automatically on first launch. Ensure you're connected to WiFi as it's approximately 2GB. A progress screen shows download status.
Why is translation slow on my device?
OffLingua uses a 4-billion parameter AI model running locally. For best performance, iPhone 12 or newer is recommended. Older devices may experience slower translations.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All translations happen entirely on your device. We never access, collect, or transmit your content. Your photos, text, and voice recordings stay private.
Which languages are supported?
OffLingua supports 55 languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and many more.
Can I use the app without internet?
Yes! After the initial model download, all features work completely offline. Perfect for travel, airplane mode, or areas without network coverage.
How do I translate a photo?
Tap the attachment icon (+) in the input bar, then choose "Camera" to take a new photo or "Library" to select an existing one. OCR will extract text and translate it automatically.
